ACA reporting to the IRS under Internal Revenue Code 6055/6056 is a time-consuming task. Throughout this change of process within the CSIU FIS, the new service model will utilize the data already entered in CSIU FIS for a seamless transition.

We create IRS forms 1094 and 1095 using a series of algorithms, provide PDF copies of everything, transmit to the IRS on your behalf and follow up post filing with results from the IRS. IRS transmissions are done electronically using NavigateHCR’s IRS credentials and as an IRS vendor, results are pushed back into the portal for full visibility. We also include our audit guarantee and a team of experts to walk you through the process and answer any questions.

Data connectivity through CSIU FIS streamlines the process by allowing us to use the data you already provide in the CSIU FIS.

The new partnership includes an Application Programming Interface (API) between CSIU FIS and the USEBSG family of companies to eliminate the need to provide data to another source. Through this API connection, the data you already provide to the CSIU FIS that relates to ACA reporting will be automatically pushed, in real-time, to the USEBSG platforms for a streamlined approach for all of your compliance needs.

We are an IRS approved technology with bi-directional connectivity. Our technology transmits to and receives status updates from the IRS on a nightly basis.

ACA Reporting is available to all clients of CSIU. The process is simple:

    • If you would like more information, use the “request a consultation” button. This will generate your first point of contact for our team to design the best solution for your district.
    • When you are ready to implement the service, you will be able to make the selection directly within the CSIU FIS for ACA Reporting!
      • Once selected within the CSIU FIS, your information will be provided to USEBSG via real-time API connectivity.
      • The USEBSG team will reach out to schedule a call for next steps, a walk through of the service, and discuss billing options.
      • The USEBSG team will take you through each step of the process and provide additional materials and resources based on your selection, walking you through every step of the process.
      • Upon selecting the option within CSIU FIS, the process takes less than 30 days!

“When I got to Cheltenham School District as the interim Business Administrator we were faced with a large IRS penalty for failure to file our 1094c and our 1095c forms as required by the Affordable Care Act.  We contacted Navigate HCR and they helped our Attorney mitigate the fine and solve the problem.  The School District immediately secured the services of Navigate HCR to handle all of their compliance filings for the future.  It is nice to know someone has your back in this area.”

Chuck Linderman

Interim Business Administrator, Cheltenham School District, Montgomery County

“After contracting with Hillendale/USEBSG for benefits and relying on them for the compliance components (FMLA, ACA reporting, COBRA) we are able to save time and labor.  I look forward to continue working with NavigateHCR which I expect will provide peace of mind for years to come!”

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ - ACA Audit Letters

What do we do when we get an ACA audit letter from the IRS?

When an audit letter is received, call the IRS using the number on the letter and request an extension of time to respond! The IRS will give an additional 30 days. This is a critical first step.

FAQ – ACA Measurement periods

Why do we need to establish a measurement period?

The ACA requires benefits be offered to at least 95% of the benefit eligible population or risk a penalty. Many employees hired on a part-time basis could end up working over the minimum hours requirement in any month.  Establishing a measurement period avoids the need to look back every single month to a lookback over many months.

FAQ – Used CSIU FIS for ACA

If we used the CSIU Financial Information System (FoxPro or FIS), can we do it again for 2023?

No, CSIU will no longer have the ability to generate the 1094C/1095C forms or the ACA Electronic files. We are providing the interface with Hillendale as a new solution for ACA reporting.

How do previous CSIU ACA clients re-print 1095C forms from previous years if needed?

It is important to maintain copies of all past filing documents in the event of an audit.  If your school used the legacy CSIU Financial Information System (FoxPro) or the new CSIU FIS in past years to complete ACA filing, it is important to make sure you  maintain PDF copies of your documents since ALL documents were generated in the CSIU legacy Financial Information System (FoxPro) and the CSIU will NOT have copies of those documents.  If you have questions about maintaining copies, please contact the CSIU Helpdesk to speak to a support representative.

If your district completed their ACA reporting within the CSIU FIS or their legacy VFP software last year, do they need to register with the IRS this year?

No, utilizing the new service means the reporting will be transmitted to the IRS using the vendor’s TCC code and transmitted on the district’s behalf.

FAQ – Did not use CSIU FIS for ACA

Can we still use the CSIU Financial Information System (FIS) to generate the 1094C/1095C forms or the ACA Electronic files?

No, CSIU will no longer have the ability to generate the 1094C/1095C forms or the ACA Electronic files. We are providing the interface with Hillendale as a new solution for ACA reporting.
